What does SealPath protection for AutoCAD allow?
Protection of AutoCAD designs at rest, in transit and in use.
Limit what others can do with your designs.
View access tracking, alerts over blocked accesses, etc.
Limit the access to your designs
When you share your CAD desings with third parties, i.e. with contractors, you can limit who has access to them. You can ensure that only specific users can acccess to the designs and not other people. In the other hand, you can limit what your collaborators can do with your designs: You can give them the option of viewing or editing the doucment, but not printing or extracting contents.
Set expiration dates to the desings or destroy them remotely
You can configure until what date your collaborators can access the protected designs. Once the date has expired, they will not be able to access your documents unless you extend again the access period. You can also destroy the copies of the AutoCAD designs you have shared, and from that moment, your collaborators will not have access to the document even if it is in their computers, networks or at home.
Audit who and when your partners access the designs
You will have a complete report of access to your protected designs, knowing in real time who and when a user has access them. You will know who is trying to accesss your designs and cannot open them due to lack of access permissions, who has unprotected the design (because the user has Full Control permissions over the document), or which users have been added to the document by your collaborators.
Protection with Microsoft Rights Management Services (RMS)
The desings are secured using the proven and robust protection technology of Microsoft Rights Management Services. SealPath extends the RMS protection for CAD documents through an integration with the AutoCAD suite. The designs are kept protected at rest when they are stored in the hard drive or PC, protected in transit when they are sent to your collaborators, and protected in use limiting what other users can do with them once they have been opened (read only and not printing, etc.).
For companies in the design, manufacturing, and industrial sector that use AutoCAD and need to protect and keep control over the intelectual property included in their designs. Using SealPath they will kept the designs encrypted and will be able to control what their collaborators can do with them, denying the access if the collaboration has finished and auditing in detail the accesses and the blocked access attempts.
